The pre-sea training is essential for every prospective seafarer not only to learn the basics of ships & shipping but also to acquire essential skills & knowledge at seamanship, technical, galley or service areas. The Fleet Ocean Maritime Academy is a training establishment, registered under Government of India under Bombay Public Act 1950 is a non profitable organization to conduct courses as per specified guidelines in the General Purpose (G.P.) & deck side, Engine side, and Maritime Catering (Saloon) disciplines, for training prospective seafarers.

General Purpose Rating (G.P. RATING)

On successful completion of this pre - sea training, the candidates will be able to join as a RATING in Indian & Foreign shipping companies as a Deck crew or Engine crew

DECK CADET

Deck Cadets serve on board ships, as part of the team that handles the daily operations and efficient running of the ship.

ENGINE CADET

The Program is for The Candidates who wants to pursue career in Engine Category in Merchant Shipping and want to become Trainee Marine Engineer / Engine Officer.

Graduate Marine Engineering (GME)

The Program is for The Candidates who wants to pursue career in Engine Category in Merchant Shipping and want to become Trainee Marine Engineer / Engine Officer.

MARINE HOSPITALITY

The course would be able to establish the knowledge and skills required through progressive levels from initial training in various Hospitality Services, Supervision and Managerial responsibilities.
